This course is for teachers who are teaching AS Level º£½ÇÉçÇø for the first time, or need further guidance.

Course Description:
The course will be broken down into 5 sessions to cover key topics and concepts from AS Level º£½ÇÉçÇø, generic to all exam boards:

• Atomic Structure, including how to model the most complex abstract concepts
• Bonding, including addressing misconceptions that students have from their GCSE knowledge
• Energetics, including practicals related to this content and how these could be assessed against Practical Competencies
• Inorganic º£½ÇÉçÇø, including titrations, redox and mole calculations
• Organic º£½ÇÉçÇø, including mechanisms, nomenclature and practical use of quick fit apparatus

Throughout the day there will be opportunities to address student misconceptions, as well observing teaching and learning techniques to support the teaching of AS Level º£½ÇÉçÇø concepts.
