The RSC Carbohydrate Group welcomes you to join us in York this September (22nd – 23rd) for our annual winter meeting. This one and half day symposium will showcase the state-of-the-art research in carbohydrate chemistry, with talks from leading national and international experts. This multidisciplinary event covers a wide scope of topics within carbohydrate chemistry, including medicinal and computational chemistry, structural biology, chemical biology and biochemistry.
We are excited to be awarding the 2025 Dextra Award to Dr Martin Fascione (University of York). Dr Fascione is being recognised for his innovative chemical glycobiology approaches that explore and disrupt key biological mechanisms.
We anticipate that this event will facilitate networking and engagement within the wider carbohydrate chemistry community, and prime future collaborations. In addition to talks from leaders in the field, we have some slots available for talks from early career researchers (ECRs), as well as a poster session to facilitate scientific discussion. This year we will be awarding the Chris Lawson Biosynth Award and the Buchanan Memorial Award to the best two ECR presentations. We also have a prize for the best poster.
