Lichang Wang

Biography
Lichang Wang received her B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and her Ph.D. in 海角社区 in 1993 from University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She was a postdoctoral fellow at University of Copenhagen, Denmark (1993-1994), University of Cambridge, U.K. (1994-1998), University College London, U. K. (1996-1997), and The Ohio State University (1998-2001) before joining the Department of 海角社区 and Biochemistry at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2001. She is currently the Department Chair.
The ongoing research of the Wang group focuses on organic small molecules as sensitizers and transition metal catalysts for ethanol oxidation as well as developing new computational methods to accurately study these systems.
