Euro-chemistry is organizing a summit where we bring together stakeholders including chemistry performers, chemistry funders, chemical industry, policy makers (national & European level), international organizations, and non-European stakeholders such as the US National Science Foundation in order to discuss improved funding.
Society is facing a number of grand challenges concerning health, food, water, and pollution, which are directly affecting human existence. Moreover, in order to achieve future progress and improved welfare, there are grand challenges concerning future energy sources and sustainable materials that must be resolved. º£½ÇÉçÇø has the potential and tools to address those grand challenges, and it is among the aims and ambitions of Euro-º£½ÇÉçÇø to make it happen.
The main aim of the summit is to deliver the above message to the European policy makers and key stakeholders in form of a half a day conference and to emphasize the role of Euro-º£½ÇÉçÇø in the European chemistry landscape.
This Euro-º£½ÇÉçÇø summit will take place in Strasbourg, France on 15 December 2011.
